Stand Up Paddleboard is a tentative sport for the 2015 Games.
If the event is held, the format will likely resemble this:
Date, location and entry fee is TBA.
There are three divisions for participants: Men’s Women’s & Youth (under 18). SUP racers start along shore, aside their boards, until the horn is sounded. The racers then traverse around buoys over the length of the 300 yard course back to the finish line. Each heat is 6 participants, with places 1-3 competing in subsequent heats to participate in the finals!
Heats generally last 15-20 minutes and the overall time of the event will depend on the actual number of participants that register.
The event will occur rain or shine, but SCSU Outdoor Endeavors will reserve the right to alter the schedule or cancel the event should there be lightning or thunderstorms on the day of the event.
The race director reserves the right to re-assign divisions based on participant numbers.
A mandatory participants’ meeting will be held prior to the race on the morning of the race.
There will be three divisions:
Youth 12 – 17 years old

Women 18 year old and up
Age determined by age on race day.
