All games will be played on artificial turf fields at St. Cloud State University, College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University!

Entry Fee

U9-U10 team: $150 per team
U11-U12 team: $195 per team
U13-U17 team: $250 per team
Final entry Deadline: April 6, 2018.

Competition Format

Non-competitive format, with each team scheduled to play two games in a single day. All games will be played on artificial turf fields at St. Cloud State University, College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University.

No protests allowed. Tournament officials reserve the right to combine divisions if necessary. Protocol for combining is outlined in tournament rules.

(U11 +): Score will be recorded however there is no playoffs for final placement.

(U-9) and (U-10):  Equal participation awards provided no playoffs or scores recorded.

Open to MYSA registered teams. The following specific divisions will be offered.

Girls:
U9 Gold & Maroon
U10 Gold & Maroon
U11 C2 & C3
U12 C2 & C3
U13 C2 & C3
U14 C2 & C3
U15  C2
U16 C1 & C3
U17 C1
Boys:
U9 Gold & Maroon
U10 Gold & Maroon
U11 C2 & C3
U12 C2 & C3
U13 C2 & C3
U14 C2
U15 C3
U16 C1

 

All players must have current player passes as required by their respective leagues. Maximum of six guest players allowed. Since all the games will be played on artificial turf fields, capacity will be limited by field supply. Please register early, teams accepted on a first come, first served basis. Many divisions may close PRIOR to the official registration deadline.

Rules

Sanctioned by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). FIFA rules as modified by MYSA will apply. A full copy of tournament rules will be available at by clicking on the link to the right.

The schedule will be published after registration closes.

Game Locations

Games will be played at St. Cloud State and St. John’s University and College of St. Benedict.

Awards

Participant awards will be presented to all U-10 and U-9 players and coaches.

Teams who participate in in the Star of the North Tournament will earn an invitation to play in the 2019 State Games of America National Championship in Lynchburg, Virginia.
